Our close knit group of Instructors, Videographers, Riggers and Packers have all worked hard since we opened to ensure our first time jumpers, student skydivers and their families have a “once in a lifetime” experience at Skydive Sussex.
They’re always willing to take the time to chat and share their experiences with you. Make sure to stop one of them and ask why THEY jump. You’ll find that they’re all passionate about what they do and are willing to share their stories.
We are proud to have home grown instructors that care about making your experience special. Although they are from all walks of life, they have one thing in common – their passion for the sky!

About the owner
Skydive Sussex opened in July of 2013, owned and operated by Rich Winstock. Rich made his first jump in September of 1991.
Since then, he has accumulated 15,500 skydives. Rich was a National Director with
the United States Parachute Association for 5 years. While at USPA Rich was the Chairman of the Safety and Training committee.
He is a currently a rated AFF Instructor Examiner, Tandem Examiner, and
Coach Examiner. Rich is also an active Safety and Training Advisor, Professionally Rated Skydiver, and Commercial Pilot.
He has developed Skydive Sussex into a fun, safe, family oriented, Skydiving School. We specialize in taking the first time tandem skydiver and offering them a path to becoming a licensed skydiver.

Meet the managers – Mackenzie & Kenneth Holt
Skydive Sussex was built on the mission to achieve a family oriented environment for all. Mackenzie Holt is one of the Managers for Skydive Sussex, alongside her husband Kenneth Holt. They both completed their first skydive in 2016, and have grown in this sport ever since!
Mackenzie enjoys working in the office, being a professional Videographer, Coach and Accelerated Free Fall Instructor. “Being able to teach others is the whole reason I wanted to get into the sport in the first place.”
Kenny Holt is a seasoned skydiver with a deep passion for body flight. He has logged over 4,500 jumps, including 3,000 tandem skydives and 1,500 sport jumps. His dedication to the sport has led him to become an S&TA at large for the USPA in the Northeast region, where he plays a key role in ensuring safety and mentoring fellow jumpers.
Outside of the skies, Kenny and Mackenzie make a dynamic team in both their professional and personal lives. From your check in process with the office staff , to landing from your first tandem skydive, and learning everything you need to know about the licensing program, this team is willing to help and offer a path to becoming a member of the Skydive Sussex Family.

Assistant manager – Michelle McCabe
Michelle McCabe started working at Skydive Sussex in 2022. Before working in the office Michelle was coming to Skydive Sussex with her husband Jim, who is an Instructor, and her children Gavin, Aiden, Kendra and Jimmy. “Skydive Sussex was always welcoming to our family and has become our forever home.” All of her children work at Skydive Sussex and have all grown to love the sport and the family they have built along the way.
Michelle is always available to help create a fun, safe and enthusiastic environment for first time jumpers, experienced jumpers and spectators. She is happy to help guide you through the skydiving experience!

Meet our saftey and training advisor
James McCabe started skydiving in 2008, and has completed 5000 jumps since! With his extreme dedication to the sport he moved to a DZ and raised his family around the sport.
James is a professional Skydiver, our Safety and Training Advisor for Skydive Sussex, an Accelerated Free Fall Instructor, Tandem Instructor and is willing to help with any other job that needs to be done around the DZ. Alongside his wife, Michelle McCabe and children, The Mccabe Family play a key role in making the prop turn at Skydive Sussex.
James is always willing to teach new jumpers, make first time jumpers feel safe and can answer any and all questions you may have! Jump at Skydive Sussex and introduce your friends and family to the sport that James and his family love!
